Spearmint (Mentha Spicata) plant
Spearmint (Mentha Spicata) is native to the Balkan Peninsula and Turkey. Spearmint has a strong flavor and fragrance that is released with simple bruising. It's the best mint variety for hot and cold drinks. Great for Mojitos. Mints are known to spread. If you want to keep plants contained, plant in a container without any holes. This pot can be buried in the ground.
Plants are grown in 3.25" pots. Plants will be bare-root before April. Pots after and will be small in spring, larger as the season progresses.
