Bianco Avorio Cardoon Plants
Cardoons are in the artichoke family; the stems rather than the flowers are cooked with. Blanch two to six weeks before harvest, wrap stems with newspaper or cardboard. A few light touches of frost are known to make them taste even better. Also nice for impressive cut flowers.
