Campanula trachelium, the Nettle-Leaved Bellflower (also known as Bats in the Belfry, Coventry Bells, or Throatwort), is a charming upright perennial that produces clusters of violet-purple bell-shaped flowers in summer. It naturalizes beautifully in woodland edges, cottage gardens, and shaded borders, and is a reliable, long-lived perennial across a wide range of zones.
