Germination Notes
Surface sow or cover the tiny seeds only very lightly; light can support germination. Maintain even moisture and moderate temperatures. Fall or early spring sowing works well, and natural winter exposure can help some seed lots, but cold stratification is not always required for germination. Thin or transplant seedlings while young.
