Tall Native Perennial for Moist Gardens
Cutleaf Coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata) is a tall native perennial with yellow petals and green cone centers. Its summer flowers provide resources for visiting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, and mature seed heads may be used by birds.
It is well suited to moist borders, rain gardens, woodland edges, and naturalized areas. Plants can spread where conditions are favorable, so allow adequate room.
Growing Conditions
- Light: Full sun to part sun
- Hardiness Zones: 3–9
- Height: About 4–9 feet
- Spread: About 2–3 feet
