Maypops are a native passionflower to much of the eastern United States (PA and south). Hardy to zone 6.
Plants are in 2.5" pots.
Beautiful flowers that pollinators love.
Vines produce egg-shaped fruit with edible seeds, usually ripe in the fall. Pulp tastes much like Hawaiian Punch. Plant in a large pot to keep the plant contained (will spread through underground runners).
If you are ordering in the winter, you will receive potted maypop roots. Once the plant gets adequate temperatures, it will resume growth.
In our zone 7 gardens, plants typically "pop up in May, depending on ground temperature.
