Ground Cherries are in the tomato/tomatillo family. Plants grow stocky and do not require trellising.

Pineapple ground cherries taste like cherry tomatoes, with pineapple juice infused in the berry. It is a perfect addition, adding a tropical twist to salsas, salads, or fresh eating. Fruits grow in a papery husk that dries and then drops to the ground when ripe. Pick up the fruits that fall to the ground in their papery husks. Berries can be eaten raw, juiced, or made into jams/jellies.

Growing Conditions:
Light: Full Sun
Height: 1.5 feet
Spread: 1.5 feet

Plants are grown naturally without chemicals.  Plants need a little more attention when transplanting. It's always best to get an extra plant or two just in case.

Plants will be delivered in the pot sizes listed/selected. The mature plants shown in the pictures are significantly larger than the 2.5"-3.5" pots in which we ship plants. Some plants will flower in these pots, but most do not. Plants flower when they naturally flower for the period they naturally flower. Most flowers do not bloom year-round.

Plants are guaranteed to be healthy upon delivery. If you have a question or issue with the plant upon delivery, please message us and include a photo so we can address it.  Things can happen during shipments that no one can control, but we insure all plants for these issues. Once a healthy plant is delivered, we are happy to answer questions, but we cannot be held responsible for its care.
