Pink Bee Balm (Monarda)
A Fragrant Native That Hummingbirds Can't Resist
Pink Bee Balm (Monarda) is a beautifully scented native perennial that lights up the summer garden with shaggy, tubular pink blooms beloved by hummingbirds, butterflies, and native bees. Native to much of North America, it's been used for centuries as a medicinal herb and tea plant — the leaves have a pleasant oregano-like fragrance when crushed.
Plants spread gradually by rhizomes to form a lush, fragrant colony. They thrive in average to moist soils and are naturally deer, rabbit, and groundhog resistant. Grown naturally without chemicals.
