Common Evening Primrose Plant (Oenothera Biennis)
Common Evening Primrose is a carefree, sun-loving perennial that attracts many native pollinators. Plants adapt to a wide range of soil conditions and are drought-tolerant. Plants will self-seed if happy. Nice in a natural landscape.
In the late-spring/summer, plants in 3.25-inch pots are 2nd-year plants, and 2.5-inch pots are first-year plants. In the fall/winter, all pots will be 2nd-year plants.
If ordered over the winter in zones 6+, the plant may be in its winter state, with some red-dotted leaves, and will not look "springtime fresh". Plants will become green and vibrant once they receive springtime weather.
Growing Conditions
Light: Full-Part Sun
Perennial: Zones 3-11

In summer, plants cannot ship to locations above 85°F (if your temperatures are at the upper range, be on site so the package can be brought in and unpacked soon after delivery).
Plants will be delivered in the listed/selected pot sizes. The mature plants shown in the pictures are significantly larger than the 2.5"-3.5" pots in which we ship plants. Some plants will flower in these pots, but most do not. Plants flower when they naturally flower for the period they naturally flower. Most flowers do not bloom year-round.
Plants are guaranteed to be healthy upon delivery. If you have a question or issue with the plant upon delivery, please message us and include a photo so we can address it. Things can happen during shipments that no one can control, but we insure all plants for these issues. After a healthy plant is delivered, we are happy to answer questions, but we cannot be held responsible for the care a plant receives.
