Common Evening Primrose Plant (Oenothera Biennis)

Common Evening Primrose is a carefree, sun-loving perennial that attracts many native pollinators. Plants adapt to a wide range of soil conditions and are drought-tolerant. Plants will self-seed if happy. Nice in a natural landscape.

In the spring, plants in 3.25-inch pots are 2nd-year plants, and 2.5-inch pots are first-year plants.   In the fall/winter, all pots will be 1st-year plants.

If ordered over the winter, the plant may be in its winter state, with some red-dotted leaves. Plants will become green once they receive springtime weather.

Plants will be delivered in the pot sizes listed/selected.  The mature plants shown in the pictures are significantly larger than the 2.5"-3.5" pots in which we ship plants.  Some plants will flower in these pots, but most do not.  Plants flower when they naturally flower for the period they naturally flower.  Most flowers do not bloom year-round.

Plants are guaranteed to be healthy upon delivery.  If you have a question or problem with the plant upon delivery, please message us and include a picture so we can address the issue.  Please be respectful and understand that addressing issues and questions is part of our support for our customers.   Things happen during shipments that no one can control, but we insure all plants for these issues.  Once a healthy plant is delivered, we are happy to answer questions, but we cannot be held responsible for the care it receives.
