Unrooted Hardy Kiwi Cuttings – Anna Female & Meader Male - Kiwi Berries
Scientific name: Actinidia arguta
Hardy Kiwi Stem Cuttings for Propagation
These are unrooted stem cuttings of Hardy Kiwi. Choose Anna (Ananasnaya) female or Meader male material according to the option selected. Cuttings are typically about 4–6 inches long and approximately pencil-width, although natural variation occurs.
Cutting maturity varies by season and may be dormant hardwood, greenwood, or semi-hardwood. Rooting success depends on timing, humidity, temperature, propagation medium, and technique and is not guaranteed.
About Hardy Kiwi
Hardy Kiwi is a vigorous deciduous fruit vine. Female vines can produce smooth-skinned kiwi berries when a compatible male vine flowers nearby. Mature vines require a sturdy trellis, arbor, fence, or similar support.
Propagation Guidance
Unpack cuttings promptly and keep them from drying out before planting. Use clean tools and a sterile, well-drained rooting medium. For leafy greenwood or semi-hardwood cuttings, remove leaves from the lower nodes, insert at least one node into the medium, and maintain high humidity and bright indirect light while keeping the medium evenly moist, not saturated. Rooting hormone improves results. Dormant hardwood cuttings require a different seasonal approach and can root less reliably; keep dormant material cool and protected from drying until propagation. Acclimate rooted cuttings gradually before transplanting. Rooting is not guaranteed.

Shipping
Orders generally ship within 1 business day. Preorders and seasonal items ship according to the timing listed in the product description or selected option. Extreme heat or cold may delay shipment.
Plants are carefully packed and shipped from Maryland. Shipping is subject to weather conditions and agricultural restrictions at the destination.
California shipping: Plants ship bare-root only, with all soil and growing media removed, when suitable for the plant and season. Please contact us before ordering to confirm availability and destination requirements.
We cannot ship plants in soil to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Oregon, or Mississippi. Bare-root plants may be shipped to these states, subject to applicable agricultural restrictions.
Shipping temperatures: The ideal temperature range for shipping plants is 40°F–85°F. Outside this range, plants can freeze or overheat in transit, whether near your destination or along the shipping route. Temperature extremes are the leading cause of plant losses during shipping. We take precautions on our end, but if you expect extreme heat or cold in your area, please ask us to hold your shipment until conditions improve.
