America’s Tallest Native Hardwood

Liriodendron tulipifera, the Tulip Poplar, is one of the most majestic native trees in eastern North America — reaching up to 160 feet tall in deep soil. In spring it produces stunning tulip-shaped yellow-green flowers with orange centers, beloved by hummingbirds and native bees. Native from Ontario to Florida and west to Illinois, it’s a fast-growing, long-lived shade tree that’s surprisingly low-maintenance.

What You’ll Receive

Select your size above. Trees ship as bare-root during the dormant season (November–April) or potted otherwise. The mature trees shown in our photos are significantly larger than what ships — that’s your tree’s future.

Shipping Notes

Potted plants cannot ship when temperatures are below 40°F or above 85°F. Bare-root plants can ship over winter in zones 6+.

Our Guarantee

Every plant is guaranteed to arrive healthy. If something looks off upon delivery, message us with a photo — all plants are insured for transit issues. Once a healthy plant is in your hands, we’re happy to answer care questions, though we can’t be responsible for post-delivery care.
